Bramble Orchard
Handprinted by me from my handcarved linocut block. Capturing a bushel of apples and tangle of blackberries found in our orchard in North Cornwall. a multi generation orchard, when we started managing the orchard, the trees were hugely overgrown and struggling, and whilst we spent several years pruning them back to health, the sneaky brambles snuck in, and before long overtook the trees themselves. Now back in harmony, this print was created to celebrate a nearly decade long battle to restore health to our little orchard.
Printed on delicate 30gsm handmade Nepalese mountain tissue paper. Made with Lotka bark fibre, a sustainable and renewable resource grown in the Himalayan foothills, creating valuable employment for those living in these areas.
Due to the nature of handprinting, each of my prints is unique and distinct and minor variations may occur.
