Hand carved on Shina Plywood block using simple carving tools and a steady hand. Carefully hand printed on recycled paper stock and high quality, eco-friendly, vegetable oil based artists ink, using The Xcut-Xpress roller printing press.
Each print will arrive in a protective film backed with recycled board and a reinforced envelope to ensure its safe arrival. This listing is for 1 print, printed from the hand carved Wood block. It does not include the Wood block, frame or any other objects photographed.
A little about the Woodcut printmaking process. I start with a blank piece of plywood on which I transfer my design. I then carefully carve away all the areas don’t want to print, leaving behind a raised design in reverse! I then roll over the wooden block with a thin layer of ink, carefully lay paper on top and apply even pressure. I peel away the paper to reveal unique but affordable art! Display as an art poster, framed art or give as a creative gift to a friend.
