I originally carved and printed this design back in 2017, one of my first ever woodcuts, having recently sold all of the original prints remaining, I dug it out to have a look and see if I still liked it, with a few tweaks I thought it deserved a second chance. This time printed on handmade onion skin paper in a delicate rose colour with intense texture and beauty, teamed with a wine coloured ink it has been revitalised for 2023.
I am planning on redesigning this poem soon, which was read to us on our wedding day 8 years ago, but until then I’m releasing the very last prints taken from the original block in this beautiful new format.
Due to the natural variations in this handmade paper and the hand printed process this print will have variations in colour, texture and edges, all care and attention have been taken to ensure quality.
Handprinted on handmade paper dyed with red onion skins, this print measures approx 21x29cm, standard A4.
